Framework for Generating a Personalized Item List

A framework 10 is disclosed for generating a personalized item list, such as a shopping list. The framework comprises an access point for acquiring customer transaction data, a data aggregator for collecting acquired customer transaction data, and a list generator that utilizes computational logic engineered to both process customer transaction data and change dynamically as a function of said data. The access points can be, but are not limited to, a retailer operated website, a retailer developed smartphone application, and external third-party operated websites. A method for implementing the computational logic utilizing expandable item class modules is also disclosed.

1. A framework for generating a personalized item list, the framework comprising:
a customer account assigned by a retailer to a customer and having a unique customer identifier; a data aggregator configured to aggregate customer transaction data; an access point at which said customer can conduct a transaction with said retailer using the customer account, the access point capable of acquiring customer transaction data when said customer conducts said transaction, the customer transaction data being associated with the customer account; a list generator in communication with the data aggregator and comprising computational logic capable of generating said personalized item list utilizing the customer transaction data, the computational logic also capable of dynamic change as a function of said customer transaction data; and a customer interface capable of recognizing said customer through an input of the unique customer identifier, and whereby access to said personalized item list by said customer is enabled.
