Disclosed in the present specification is a method by which a local distribution server adjusts the number of streaming servers according to a channel preference in a streaming service, comprising the steps of: determining, by the local distribution server, the number of streaming servers for each channel on the basis of the number of viewers for each channel; and adjusting, by the local distribution server, the number of streaming servers for serving each channel on the basis of a determination result, wherein when the number of streaming servers for serving a specific channel increases, broadcast data of the specific channel is transmitted to a streaming server having the highest ratio of an available data reception bandwidth to the whole data reception bandwidth among available streaming servers, and when the number of streaming servers for serving the specific channel decreases, the transmission of the broadcast data of the specific channel is stopped to a streaming server having the lowest ratio of an available data reception bandwidth to the whole data reception bandwidth among the streaming servers serving the specific channel. |
