Disclosed are an echo cancellation device and method for a small-scale hand-free voice communication system. The system includes a telephone receiver, a main telephone transmitter and a secondary telephone transmitter, with the distance between the main telephone transmitter and the telephone receiver being greater than that between the secondary telephone transmitter and the telephone receiver. The device includes an array echo cancellation unit, a self-adaptive echo cancellation unit and a residual echo cancellation unit which are structurally in sequential cascade connection. The inputs of the array echo cancellation unit are a main telephone transmitter signal and a secondary telephone transmitter signal, and an output signal is obtained by array filtering; the input signals of the self-adaptive echo cancellation unit are a telephone receiver signal, an output signal of the array echo cancellation unit and a secondary telephone transmitter signal, and two output signals are obtained by self-adaptive filtering; and the input signals of the residual echo cancellation unit are the two output signals of the self-adaptive echo cancellation unit, and an echo-cancelled voice signal obtained by means of voice probability estimation and echo matching. The duplex performance can be improved, and phase consistency of the telephone transmitters is not strictly required. |
