LOCK ASSEMBLY HAVING LOCK POSITION SENSOR

A lock assembly includes an outer lock set which includes an outer handle. An inner lock set includes an inner handle and a control electronic device module. An outer spindle is functionally coupled with a latch assembly and is operably coupled with an inner assembly. A locking mechanism is functionally coupled with a driving assembly and includes a coupling mechanism and a locking spindle assembly. The coupling mechanism allows the outer handle to be selectively coupled with the outer spindle. A locking spindle assembly operates the coupling mechanism to change a locking condition into an unlocking condition by the operation of the driving assembly. A lock position sensor is located in the inner lock set and is coupled with the control electronic device module to be communicated. The lock position sensor detects whether the coupling mechanism is in the locking condition or in the unlocking condition.
