PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat absorbing mat which maintains a high cooling effect and operability for a placed heat generating device such as a notebook computer and which achieves the reduction in thickness.SOLUTION: A heat absorbing mat 10 arranged under a heat generating device comprises: a foundation part 11 for supporting legs of the placed heat generating device; and a heat absorber 12 absorbing heat from a bottom of the heat generating device. The heat absorber 12 is arranged in a state of protruding from an upper surface of the foundation part 11 by a predetermined height. The foundation part 11 is made of an elastic member having a through hole in the vicinity of the center, and the heat absorber 12 is formed by arranging a heat absorbing member in the through hole. For example, if a viscoelastic gel having a heat absorbing property is used as the heat absorbing member, the viscoelastic gel adheres to the bottom of the heat generating device so that heat absorbing is efficiently performed. The viscoelastic gel also protects the heat generating device from a shock applied to a desk due to its shock absorbing property. |
