PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize a sex pheromone of Japanese mealybug and a related compound by a simple chemistry operation, and to provide the same as a communication disturbance agent and a sex attractant.SOLUTION: A synthesis method of a butyric acid ester having a 1-propenyl structure includes: (A) a process 1 in which in an alcohol having a 2-propenyl structure at a second position, a hydroxy group of a first position of the alcohol having a 2-propenyl structure is oxidized to an aldehyde by a mild oxidant; (B) a process 2 in which the aldehyde having a 2-propenyl structure obtained by the process 1 is dissolved in tetrahydrofuran, and further mixed with hydrochloric acid to thereby obtain an aldehyde having a 1-propenyl structure; (C) a process 3 in which the aldehyde having a 1-propenyl structure obtained by the process 2 is performed by a reduction treatment to thereby obtain an alcohol having a 1-propenyl structure; and (D) a process 4 in which the alcohol having a 1-propenyl structure obtained by the process 3 is added with butyric anhydride to thereby obtain a butyric acid ester having a 1-propenyl structure. |
