PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning method which is capable of generating precise satellite orbit information at a proper timing.SOLUTION: The positioning method includes: determining whether first satellite orbit information will be available for position calculation of a positioning device at the start time of position calculation of the positioning device or not a prescribed time before the start time; if it is determined that the first satellite orbit information will not be available for position calculation of the positioning device at the start time, using the first satellite orbit information to generate second satellite orbit information being available at the start time, by the start time and using the generated second satellite orbit information to perform position calculation of the positioning device at the start time; if it is determined that the first satellite orbit information will be available for position calculation of the positioning device at the start time, using the first satellite orbit information to perform position calculation of the positioning device at the start time. |
