PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing capable of reducing the cost by simplifying a rotation prevention mechanism for preventing rotation of an outer ring inserted and attached in a housing along an axial direction.SOLUTION: A rolling bearing 1 includes an outer ring 2 attached to a housing 9, an inner ring 3 arranged coaxially with the outer ring 2 to be relatively rotatable, a ball 5 arranged to be rolled between the inner and outer rings, and a rotation prevention mechanism for preventing rotation of the outer ring 2 with respect to the housing 9, and the rolling bearing 1 is fitted into the housing 9 in an axial direction. The rotation prevention mechanism has a projection 6 projecting to a radial outer side on an outer periphery of the outer ring 2, and the projection 6 has a sharp distal end 61 when viewed from the axial direction, and the projection 6 bites into the housing 9 when the bearing is fitted to the housing 9 made of a material softer than the projection 6 in the axial direction. |
