摘要 Provided is a solid-state image pickup device that reduces position-dependent differences in sensitivities of phase difference pixels at a center part and peripheral parts, without reducing image quality of a picked-up image. In a light receiving area (11) of a solid-state image pickup device (10), a plurality of normal pixels (43), a plurality of right phase difference pixels (42a), and a plurality of left phase difference pixels (42b) are provided. The light receiving area (11) is divided into a center part (11a), a right peripheral part (11bR), and a left peripheral part (11bL). An opening (56R) of each right phase difference pixel (42a) in the left peripheral part (11bL) has an area greater than that in the center part (11a) and greater than that in the right peripheral part (11bR). An opening (56L) of each left phase difference pixel (42b) in the right peripheral part (11bR) has an area greater than that in the center part (11a) and greater than that in the left peripheral part (11bL).
