A sensor assembly for a domestic appliance (50) has an evaluation circuit (10; 110; 310; 410) with a sensor input (16; 116), a first sensor (12; 112; 312; 412) and a second sensor (14; 114; 314; 414), the first sensor supplying a first output signal and the second sensor supplying a second output signal. Both the first and the second sensor are connected to the same sensor input (16; 116) and the output signal of the first sensor (12; 112; 312; 412) has a different value range from that of the output signal of the second sensor (14; 114; 314; 60).
