The present invention relates to a powder coating composition comprising 0.1 to 5 wt% of at least one polyurethane resin, the wt% are based on the total weight of the powder coating composition, wherein the at least one polyurethane resin is produced from an isocyanate component and an alcohol component comprising at least oneα,ω-hydroxy organo functional polydimethylsiloxane and wherein the at least one polyurethane resin having a silicon content (calculated as elementary silicon with molecular mass 28) in a range of 5 to 35 wt%, the wt% are based on the weight of the polyurethane resin. The powder coating composition according to the invention based on the at least one polyurethane resin provides coatings with highly improved flow properties.
