A floor covering, having sustainable slip resistance over its lifetime, is disclosed, withslip resistance being described in terms of pendulum slip resistance of >36, microroughness of Rz >20um, coupled with a 50,000 cycle abrasion test where <10% of particles that impart the slip resistance are lost. This floor covering comprises at least two transparent polymer layers, wherein particles of an aggregate material having an average particle size of between about 0.05mm to about 0.8mm are located between and/or within the two or more transparent polymer layers and wherein these polymer layers are each having a gauge between about 0.1mm and 1.0mm. Further contained within the multi-layered floor covering is a decorative layer to provide the required appearance. |
