STABLE ELSAMITRUCIN SALT FORMULATIONS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide elsamitrucin formulations useful for parenteral administration to treat neoplastic diseases and conditions, which contain salts that can be prepared without the use of a free base and organic solvents required to solubilize the free base in situ.SOLUTION: Water soluble formulations containing stable forms of elsamitrucin salts represented by elsamitrucin tosylate are provided which contain mannitol as an osmotic pressure adjusting agent and has a pH set at about 4.0.
