PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction pipe strainer used when a fire pump for fire fighting uses a low level water source. SOLUTION: This suction pipe strainer for fire pumps includes, at a strainer mounting section, a rotation part that has a sealing structure for adjusting an angle of an intake section. Alternatively, this suction pipe strainer includes, in its inside, a cylindrical structure which is integrated with the suction pipe strainer and whose end is closed, and a part of the cylindrical structure has an intake port such as a notch that has a sufficient opening area for taking water therein.
