摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves moving a pointer (9) in succession to multiple locations in working space. Data characteristic of geometric relationship of location determining devices (10) relative to location determining devices (11) arranged at predetermined machine locations is acquired. Position (P) of pointer in working space is determined based on acquired characteristic data, predetermined pointer locations and predetermined machine locations. Working space of processing machine is subdivided into permitted and prohibited movement ranges based on determined position of pointer. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a computer program for operating processing machine; and (2) a control device for processing machine. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for operating processing machine e.g. controlled machine tools used for automated production of workpieces. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The control device can determine the orientation of the pointer in the working space based on the characteristic data, the predetermined pointer locations and the predetermined machine locations. The operations can be carried out by control device of the processing machine. Primary location determining device and multiple secondary location determining devices are presented to determine the position of the pointer in the working space based on the geometric relationships. Each of primary or secondary location determining devices can emit a signal with the respective other location determining devices receive the emitted signals, and the respective other location determining devices transmit the characteristic data to the control device. The characteristic data can be transmitted wirelessly by the receivers to the control device. The geometric relationships can be determined with a high degree of accuracy and with considerably less effort due to the relatively low propagation velocity of acoustic signals compared to electromagnetic waves. The actuation of the trigger element arranged in handle section of pointer can be communicated directly to the control device, and is provided to trigger the acceptance of the characteristic data and determination of the position of the pointer. The control device can subdivide the working space into the permitted and the prohibited movement range using the respective position group in a simple and intuitive manner. The movement range restrictions are specified for the movable component in a simple, efficient and intuitive way. The position of the pointer can be determined with sufficient accuracy with considerably less effort. The handling of the pointer is compatible with human gestures. Controller detects the imminent collision in advance and to prevent the collision.
