<p>A disc brake assembly (118) comprises
a rotor (112) that is turned by motion of a vehicle;
a calliper (114) and brake pads (116) attached to the calliper;
the rotor (112) having an inside face periphery, an outside face periphery and an outside diameter periphery;
a filter (118) disposed within a shroud (120);
the shroud (120) being disposed proximate to the rotor (112) so as to cover at least about 70% of at least one of the inside face and the outside face peripheries wherein the shroud (120) houses a radially inner filter and a radially outer filter, and wherein when said vehicle is in motion, rotation of said rotor (112) moves brake dust into said radial inner filter and said radially outer filter.</p> |
