PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding method for preventing the generation of a grinding crack and improving productivity. SOLUTION: The method includes: a setting step of setting a temperature A2 and a temperature A3; a measuring step of measuring a temperature of a grinding point P; an adjusting step of resetting a grinding condition to lower the temperature of the grinding point P when the measured temperature of the grinding point P is in a range of a temperature defined by the temperature A2 and the temperature A3. The temperature A2 is set to a temperature which lowers the temperature of the grinding point P before tensile residual stress is generated on a work W on the basis of a time required for the measuring step and the adjusting step and a cutting amount to the work W by a grindstone 20 which is predetermined prior to grinding.
