The present invention relates to a system and a method for crop management comprising: a workplace in which crops are grown; a monitoring unit for monitoring the workplace environment and crops; a control device for remotely controlling the workplace; a wireless relay for transmitting and receiving a signal of a monitoring result by the monitoring unit and a control signal for the control device over a wireless internet network or CDMA network; a smart terminal for remotely controlling the workplace through the monitoring result by the monitoring unit and workplace state monitoring, and managing a growth state by analyzing crop growth; a crop management tag for storing crop-related information and workplace-related information; and a management server for managing the devices and the terminal.
