According to the present invention, a system to prevent damage to the injector output circuit of a vehicle comprises: an error judgment part judging an error by reading an error information from a gate driver, which drives the injector of the vehicle, through a serial peripheral interface (SPI), and judging the error information stored in a first buffer and a second buffer to represent a short circuit to battery (SCB) error; an error information update part storing the error information in the first buffer and the second buffer after updating the error information when the error information read from the gate driver by the error judgment part is judged to represent the error; and an output circuit control part shutting off the injector output circuit when the error judgment part judges the error information to represent the SCB error, judging the injection time of the injector to be reached, and activating the output circuit when the injection time is reached. According to the present invention, the system and a method to prevent damage to the injector output circuit of the vehicle are capable of preventing overheating by shutting off the injector output circuit of the vehicle, thereby applying the system and the method to any output circuit for PWM control; the system and the method are capable of diagnosing errors in a peak and hold type compressed natural gas injector with an inexpensive gate driver and an external FET circuit; and the system and the method are capable of shutting off the injector output circuit of the vehicle. |
