792,032. Hydraulic brakes. SCHAFER INDUSTRIEGES SCHWEINFURT GES. May 9, 1956 [May 9, 1955], No. 14356/56. Addition to 753,699. Class 103 (1). A master-cylinder for hydraulic brakes has similar valves both at the end of the piston 3 adjacent the pressure cylinder and at the outlet end of the cylinder, each valve comprising a member 20 (or 27) the peripheral portion of which can flex in relation to the surface of a valve seat, and a central portion 25 (or 30) which rests with its underside against the bottom of a circular recess 26 formed on the central portion of a carrier member 24 (or 29). When the piston is displaced to produce a brake application, the fluid pressure forces the member 20 against its seat and drives liquid through apertures 28 in the bell-shaped valve cap 29 and past the valve member 27 at the end of the cylinder to the brakes by passages 12 or 13. On return movement of the piston, valve 27 flattens against the holes 28 and the cap 29 is lifted off the sealing- ring 41 by the pressure of the brake shoe return-springs.
|
