<p>The hood (14) has a fan device (16) for sucking the exhaust air from a cooking apparatus (10) with a cooking area (12). A temperature detecting unit (18) detects a temperature of cooking area of the cooking apparatus. The cooking vapor detection units (20,22) detect the cooking vapor in the sucked air sucked by a fan device. A control unit (24) for switching ON the fan device in response to detected temperature and controlling the suction power of the fan device based on the detected cooking vapor in sucked air. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling operation of fume extractor hood.</p> |
