PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive sheet for label formation, using a biodegradable sheet as substrate, and giving a label of low shrinkage and high thermal dimensional stability even after undergoing thermal history. SOLUTION: The adhesive sheet for label formation comprises a biodegradable sheet and an adhesive layer crosslinked on one side thereof. In the adhesive sheet, the gel fraction of the crosslinked adhesive layer is 50 mass% or greater, and the holding power of the adhesive sheet determined in accordance with JIS Z 0237 stands at 0.5 mm or less in terms of a displacement thereof at a point after a lapse of 70,000 s.
