<PICT:0794446/III/1> Lubricating oil from either a main storage tank A or a drain tank 10 forming part of a filter system F is fed through a valve v to a pump system comprising two pumps P, P1 arranged in parallel which may co-operate to deliver the oil to centrifugal separator C from which a conduit a3 returns the purified oil to the tank A. The pump P1 is sited between linked valves c, c1 which when turned away from the position shown make only the pump P operative to transmit the impure oil to the separator C and, a valve v1 in the conduit a3 being closed, purified oil passes through a line b4 to the pump P1 to be forced thereby either along a line b7 to a highly placed auxiliary tank B or along a line b6 to the tank A according to the setting of a valve d. |
