Disclosed are riser handling device and method. The riser handling device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a spread beam forming an inclined part inclined in the lower direction at the both ends of a horizontal part; a pair of lifting clamps installed to be moved in the longitudinal direction of the horizontal part and lifting a riser; multiple distance sensors installed at the horizontal part and the inclined part respectively and sensing the distance to the lifted riser; and a controlling part controlling the distance between the lifting clamps corresponding to sensing information of the multiple distance sensors.
