摘要 <p>An energy management and monitoring device for a boiler system having one or more burners comprises at least one external temperature sensor, at least one room temperature sensor, means to determine the duration of the most recent burner fires, for example the last five burner fire durations, and a memory to store the determined burner fire durations. The determined boiler fire durations and measured external and room temperatures sensed by the temperature sensors are sent as information to a remote web server and streamed to databases where they can be used to generate reports. The information on these reports may then be used to delay firing of the boiler when the boiler is called to fire by a boiler thermostat so that the boiler does not heat water passing through the boiler unnecessarily. The reports may be used to diagnose boiler faults such as failed engagement of first or second stage boiler fire, failed purge period of the boiler, or faulty boiler thermostat. The device may also analyse flue gas and monitor oil, gas and/or electricity consumption of the boiler. The device uses intelligent control to provide a more energy efficient boiler system.</p>
