The present disclosure generally relates to piston pins connecting pistons and associated connecting rods. An emergency guiding element (30, 31) may be configured to be attached to an end (18, 20) of a piston pin (10) .The emergency guiding element (30, 31) may be integrally formed with an emergency guiding outer wall (34) facing an inner cylinder wall (4). The emergency guiding element outer wall (34) may be configured to contact the inner cylinder wall (4) only in case of a demolition of the piston (6). Thus, an emergency guidance for an associated connecting rod may be provided. |
