METHOD OF DRIVING DISPLAY PANEL AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE SAME

Disclosed are a method for driving a liquid crystal display panel to improve luminance of a 3D image and a liquid crystal display device for performing the same. The liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal display panel, a data driving unit, a gate driving unit, and a timing control unit. The liquid crystal display panel includes liquid crystal cells which are connected to a data line and a gate line. The data driving unit outputs a data signal to the data line. The gate driving unit outputs a gate signal to the gate line. The timing control unit outputs, to the gate driving unit, multiple gate clock signals to increase a shift interval of a rising time of the gate signal as the timing control unit becomes away from the data driving unit to output the data signal. Therefore, the timing control unit more frequently shifts the rising time of the gate time as the timing control unit becomes away from the data driving unit, thereby compensating for and improving a pixel charging rate that is lost due to an RC delay and improving luminance of a 3D image.
