Class 65(2) The casing 1 of a ball-and-socket joint including ball ended pin 5 carries a screw threaded cup-like extension 8 on the side remote from the pin whereby the casing can be secured to a support 7, and which may serve as a grease reservoir. The extension 8 may be formed integral with the casing or may be separate therefrom and project from within the casing. The socket 3, if of an elastically yieldable material, is provided with a plate 17 to prevent it being forced into the reservoir, and may extend beyond the centre line of the ball 4 to retain the latter in positiomi. |
