PURPOSE: A carbon dioxide cooling system and a method thereof are provided to process evaporative gas without discharging the evaporative gas generated in a carbon dioxide carrying vessel, which uses a gas engine, to the outside. CONSTITUTION: A carbon dioxide cooling system of a carbon dioxide carrying vessel using a gas engine comprises a fuel supplying line(30), a pressurization unit(31) and a mixer(33), a carbon dioxide liquefaction line(50), a heat exchanger(51), a carbon dioxide evaporative gas collecting line(80), and a feed pump(81). The carbon dioxide liquefaction line is divided from the fuel supplying line at the rear end and connected to the mixer. The heat exchanger is installed at the front end of the mixer which is on the carbon dioxide liquefaction line. The carbon dioxide evaporative gas collecting line is drawn from the upper portion of a carbon dioxide storage and is connected to the one side of the carbon dioxide storage again via the heat exchanger. The feed pump is installed on the carbon dioxide evaporative gas collecting line. |
