A gait training apparatus for the mechanical production of a natural gait pattern. The gait training apparatus comprises a first and a second multi-joint mechanism which are mechanically coupled to one another, as well as a drive for the input of a rotatory movement into the first multi-joint mechanism, and a foot support element which is coupled onto the second multi-joint mechanism.
