PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet forming apparatus capable of improving the yield in sheet formation. SOLUTION: The sheet forming apparatus includes a material extruding part for extruding a formed material forward from an extrusion port 11; a material rolling part for receiving the formed material extruded from the material extruding part and forming the formed material into sheet shape by a pair of rolls vertically arranged in an attitude with the axes extending along a horizontal or almost horizontal direction, to put out the formed material; and a material storage part 3 for temporarily storing the formed material extruded from the material extruding part, between the material extruding part and the material rolling part. Each of a lateral pair of sidewall parts 3G partitioning both right and left sides of the material storage part 3 includes an inter-roll entering portion 32 entering between the pair of rolls, and an extrusion port inter-roll portion 31 on the extrusion port 11 side rather than the pair of rolls. Further, a lateral space which is a lateral space between the inner surfaces 31S of at least the extrusion port inter-roll portions 31 out of the respective inner surfaces 3S of the pair of sidewall parts 3G is formed to be wider toward the lower side.
