Photovoltaic module with efficiency enhancing adhesive films

The module has a laminate comprising a transparent front cover, photo-sensitive semiconductor layers, a rear cover and a reflecting adhesive film with high radiation transmission, made of polyvinyl acetal plasticizer. The adhesive film exhibits UV transmission of more than 35%, determined between two panes of white glasses of 2 mm of thickness according to EN410. The adhesive film comprises polyvinyl acetal, which is produced by acetalization of polyvinyl alcohol, which exhibits extinction with 280 Nm of less than 0.5% in 4 Wt. % aqueous solution.
