The bearing has a stator (4) that is provided with four coils (S1-S4) facing each other, where the first- and third coils lie on a first axis (Y) while the second- and fourth coils lie on a second axis (X). An actuating device actuates the coils at a variable operating point with a three-phase current having phases (U-W). Amplitudes of the phase currents are evaluated using sine functions phase-shifted with respect to one another around 120 degrees, where the variable operating point sets value for the amplitude evaluation for the individual phases corresponding to the sine functions. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a magnetic radial bearing. |
