A method of detecting light is provided. The method includes the step of providing an integrating container (1) having an aperture (10) though which light enters and a reflecting inner surface (8). It is arranged so that at least two sensors (12, 14) of a first type such that the sensors receive light from the interior of the integrating container. The sensors may both detection radiation of a certain wavelength 1064 nm. Two sensors (16, 18) of a second type, detecting radiation of 1550 nm may also be arranged to receive light from the inside of the integrating container. Ideally, the container is non-spherical, that is, it may be a polygon in shape, such as a cube, so that the plurality of containers may be placed together to form an array of four such detectors. |
