The present invention provides a magnetic inline filter which is simple in structure, has a strong magnetic field, and has a high filtering capacity. In the present invention, a piston (62) of a fluid cylinder (61) is pulled to an uppermost portion, and an inner circumferential surface side magnet (4) and an outer circumferential surface side magnet (5) are located on filtering positions facing a space (31). In the state above, a solenoid of a switching valve (231) is operated to block a discharge port (23). A coolant is introduced to the space (31) from an inlet (21) in the vicinity of a lower end of an exterior (2), and the coolant is supplied to a supply port (22) in the vicinity of an upper end to a processing unit. Since the magnetic field in a radial direction is strong, cutting powder in the coolant is adsorbed to both side wall surfaces of the space (31), and the coolant is filtered. When the supply of the coolant is continued, the cutting powder adsorbed to the wall surfaces is accumulated and bridged. As a result, the coolant passes between gaps of the bridged cutting powder, and thus the precise filtering is possible. |
