The method involves selecting, via a user interface in a smart phone (1a) of an organizer (O), conference participants (P1, P2), and determining a digital identifier for each participant. A conference request is generated, where the request includes the digital identifiers of the participants. The request is transmitted to a conference server (3), and a conference bridge (31) having a digital identity is created. The conference bridge is transmitted to the smart phone, and a communication with the conference bridge is automatically established by the smart phone.
