Nucleic acid (I) coding for respiratory syncytial virus F protein is new. Nucleic acid (I) coding for respiratory syncytial virus F protein and having SEQ ID NO:1 (not given in the specification) is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the polypeptide encoded by (I); (2) vector comprising (I); (3) immunogenic composition comprising (I) or a polypeptide or vector as above; (4) producing respiratory syncytial virus F protein by transfecting a host cell with (I) and expressing (I) in the cell. ACTIVITY : Virucide. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Vaccine.
