<p>The lifting chair (100) has a chassis (102), a seat (104) that moves between raised and lowered positions, and a handling system (106). Major winch (150a) and minor winch (150b) fixed to chassis has flexible link (152a, 152b) with one end fixed to seat and other end to drum of winch. Flexible link connected to major winch is tensioned and that to minor winch is relaxed. Synchronization unit (204) drives winding and unwinding of flexible link connected to minor winch by length equal to length of winding and unwinding of flexible link connected to major winch.</p> |
