The device has movable chambers which are moved relative to each other between open position and closed position. A brewing chamber is formed with portion for receiving package, in a closed position. A supply line and discharge line are provided for passing a liquid medium through the chamber. An actuating element (7) is used to create open position and closed position through a gear (8) with a chamber in operative connection. An actuating element is displaceable along a linear or curved guide track (9).
