The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device the liquid crystal display device prevents breakage and light leakage of a liquid crystal panel caused by interference of a case or a frame with the liquid crystal panel. The interference is caused by external forces or poor weather conditions. Accordingly, the liquid crystal display device has an enhanced mechanical reliability and an enhanced operational stability and thus can provide high quality images. According to the present invention, the liquid crystal display device comprises: a backlight unit having an emitting surface; the liquid crystal panel arranged on the emitting surface in parallel with the backlight unit; and a panel guide which fixes the liquid crystal panel and the backlight unit to be separated. The panel guide includes a planar panel rib which is formed to be extended from a front surface in parallel with at least one side of the liquid crystal panel to fix the liquid crystal panel on the front surface.
