A touch panel according to an embodiment includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a third substrate. The first substrate is defined by a first effective area and a first non-effective area surrounding the first effective area. The second substrate is defined by a second effective area and a second non-effective area surrounding the second effective area. The third substrate is defined by a third effective area and a third non-effective area surrounding the third effective area. A first transparent electrode is formed on the first effective area, and a second transparent electrode is formed on the second effective area. A third transparent electrode is also formed on the third effective area. The first and second transparent electrodes are arranged to be shifted from each other. |
