<p>A portable exercise apparatus comprising a housing 10 with a means for attaching the housing to an item or the user which may be an adjustable strap 14 and a removable recoil component (12, fig 3) attached to a flexible elongate component 18, which also has a means of attaching to an item or user such as an adjustable strap 16, arranged so that the apparatus provides resistance to a user withdrawing the flexible elongate component from the apparatus; such resistance may be provided by a spiral coiled spring. The removable recoil component can be replaced by a recoil component that provides greater or lesser resistance.</p> |
