Provided is an automated teller machine for a paper money, capable of allowing a client to deposit and withdraw a paper money. The automated teller machine includes a deposit and withdrawal port which the paper money is deposited into or withdrawn from; a case including a moving wheel; a carriage unit which is installed along the moving wheel to be able to move and receives the paper money deposited through the deposit and withdrawal port by clamping the paper money or returns the paper money which will be withdrawn to the deposit and withdrawal port by clamping the same; and a separation and accumulation unit including a separation space in which the paper money deposited from the carriage unit is divided into single pieces and an accumulation space in which the paper money, which will be withdrawn to the carriage unit, is accumulated.
