The present invention relates to mobile communications apparatus and method in a host identity protocol (HIP) network environment. Provided is a mobile communications system in an HIP network environment, which comprises: an opponent terminal transmitting data in a first communication area; a first router controlling the first communication area and receiving the data from the opponent terminal; a second router controlling a second communication area and receiving the data from the first router; and a mobile terminal receiving the data from the second router in the second communication area, wherein the mobile terminal transits, to the third router controlling the third communication area, a message having a path configuration information for setting a new transmission path which is added with location information of the second router, when performing handover from the second communication area to a third communication area the third router transmits, to the second router, a handover indication message including location information of the third router, using the location information of the second router, and the second router forwards the data transmitted from the first router to the third router during the handover of the mobile terminal when receiving the handover indication message. |
