The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a battery protection device, which improves productivity by reducing man hours as well as reducing an error rate, and the battery protection device. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method for manufacturing a battery protection device comprises the steps of: preparing a PCB upper board with a thin metal film on the top surface, a PCB lower board with a thin film on the bottom surface, and a metal board for a spacer with at least one side protruding out of lateral sides of the PCB upper board and the PCB lower board and with at least one insulation hole; bonding the upper and lower PCB boards with the metal board for the spacer interposed therebetween; forming circuit patterns on the PCB upper and lower boards; forming a through-hole smaller than the insulation hole to pass through the PCB upper board and the PCB lower board and electrically connecting the PCB upper board and the lower PCB board via the through-hole; forming an exposure hole at the PCB upper board to expose the metal board for the spacer therethrough and electrically connecting the metal board for the spacer and the PCB upper board; and forming a vertical extension and a horizontal extension by bending the protruding portion of the metal board for the spacer in two stages. |
