The present invention discloses an electrode of a secondary battery. An electrode according to the present invention is a discontinuous electrode which comprises: a current collector; and an active substance layer formed on the current collector and the current collector and the active substance layer comprise at least one cutting part. Specifically, the present invention relates to an electrode having a structure preventing crack caused as the electrode repeatedly expands and contracts due to continuous charging and discharging, a battery applying the same and the manufacturing method.
