wherein the control unit is configured to, in response to detecting an occurrence of an insulation fault, initiate an emergency operating mode in which the internal combustion engine is always activated by initiating a starting of the internal combustion engine, and while in the emergency operating mode, the control unit prevents a purely electric driving operation of the hybrid vehicle, wherein in the purely electric driving operation the vehicle is powered using only the electric drive, without activating the internal combustion engine.
