The present invention relates to a portable ultrasonic partial discharge measurement device with a function of directing a fault position and a measurement method thereof, which are capable of enhancing credibility of data, and efficiency and convenience in measurement by adding a function of directing a fault position against a fault position where a partial discharge takes place, by using image data according to a real-time image processing conducted while a partial discharge measurement is implemented on a power apparatus. In other words, the present invention combines real-time changes in image data which filmed a target subject to partial discharge measurement and information on real-time sizes of ultrasonic signals indicating the size of the discharged signals measured to display, on the display device, an arrow indicating a direction where signals of a greater partial discharge has been generated, which enables the user to only adjust and move the device of the present invention including an ultrasonic sensor, a illumination reflector, and a camera toward the direction indicated by the arrow (the position where a signal of the greatest partial discharge is generated) as directed. Hence, efficiency and convenience of measuring partial discharge is greatly enhanced. |
