The present invention allows a turbo decoding device to perform decryption with high reliability using only a small amount of parity when performing a parity automatic retransmission in a wireless communications system or a video encoding system. Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for iterative decoding, which reduce the number of unnecessary retransmission by increasing the reliability of the apparatus for iterative decoding, especially when the wireless communications system supporting a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) scheme requires the automatic retransmission or a distributed video coding (DVC) system resends the parity automatically. |
