A method and device for designating the location of a speaker outputting the lines or sound of an object such as a person speaking or a thing making a sound on a screen, according to an objective such as lines or sense of realism delivery is disclosed. The device for designating the location of a speaker according to an object including delivering lines or a sense of realism according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a scene section selection unit that selects a section including some of all scenes of a video image; a delivery mode setting unit that sets a delivery mode according to whether the scenes that a selected section includes are intended to deliver lines or a sense of realism; and a location setting unit that designates at least one speaker having to output a sound among a plurality of speakers according to a set delivery mode. |
